Transformation : Form-making

Architecture Sophomore Students are assigned to create three tier transformation series. They were given a 12 x 12 x 12 inches cubic metal framework with orthogonal module consists of 144 1 in x 1 in cubes.

Phase 01/

Students used .25 inch, .5 inch and 1 inch modules to transform it into a formal composition. vigorous craftsmanship and neat details in module was required. 

Phase 02/

With the created composition within the 12 x 12 x 12 inches framework, students omitted extra skeletal members from the framework and required to create a new framework with different voids.  

Phase 03/

With various appropriate materials students will create a composition from the phase 02 skeleton. They are allowed to fill up the gaps, assemble spatial volumes and create a dynamic collage of solid and void.
