Final project for my Freshmen year students. The project was designed in 2 phases. They could choose a traditional music. In first phase students were asked to interpret the mood of music and abstract that into a 2D composition. In second phase, using found scrap materials, they would create a 3D expression of that mood. It was designed for 3 weeks, students explored various materials, experimented with tools and construction process. The only constraint was the object has to be within 3 ft x 3 ft.
